I called this place last week, was told they would have funds to help with rent on the first of this month. Well I went there Monday on the first, not open!! So I went back on Tuesday. All the doors on both buildings locked and no one would answer the phone, I called several times btw. So today I call them and finally I got someone to answer. Guess what THEY ARE OUT OF FUNDS. For real, how??? Its only been three days!!! Thanks for the rum around of no help. Gas isn't cheap!!

We are open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am-11.50am and 1pm - 1.50pm.
I'm not sure, but try this. First Google Salvation Army contact number. Secondly, call Salvation Army and ask if transportation is provided to and from church services. A god time to call is between the hours of 9am-2pm Tuesday-Thursday. Enjoy your day on purpose.

Yes they give vochers out on Thursday first come first serve and vouchers go very fast can get vocher every 6 months
Susan, we have some limited funding for transportation that we use each month. Come by our main office at 927 Jefferson M-F from 9-3pm and we can see if we are able to help you.

Our Food Pantry is open - Tuesdays from 9am to 11:50am and from 1pm to 1:50pm and Fridays from 9am to 11:50am and from 1pm to 1:50pm, and clothing vouchers - Thursdays from 10am to 11:50am, first come first served. For both services clients need to bring proof of address (utility bill, social security print out, etc.), proof of income for the last 30 days for household members over 18, picture ID for everyone 18 years old and older, and social security cards for everyone they want services for in their family. Kenny, thanks for your question. As noted below clothing vouchers are given out each Thursday at 10am at the Shelter and Social Service building (not the building this Google page is linked to). Furniture vouchers are given to those with a Red Cross referral. I encourage you to call our Thrift Store at 718 Michigan Street at 573-635-1463 and see if they have any fabric or curtains, I know they will be good value if they have them.
Justice. We do have some limited funds for transportation but do not have any more until the beginning of next month - this would be for Greyhound or Amtrack tickets. You are welcome to use our phones if this is helpful getting in contact with someone that could help you.
