The good: My doctor and his assistant (probably not the correct title, I apologize and mean no offense if it is wrong) are amazing. The BAD: There are serious issues with the billing. I am old, I have worked in several cities and states. Whenever I leave a doctors office I am always asked to pay my part of the bill on my way out the door. I like paying my portion of the bill immediately. I don't like having lingering bills. Mosaic Maryville doesn't have the bill ready when you leave and state it is impossible to do. My last visit I attempted to pay my copay and they said no need, it's all covered since it is a wellness check. Then I receive a bill for my copay a month later. I am also receiving notices that it is time for my wellness check even though my last visit was for the annual wellness check. Last year I was sent a bill at Christmas time for a substantial amount from a visit 8 months prior. It took them 8 months to bill me. I wasn't 8 months behind, they were. They doctor wanted to do an expensive test. The nurse was going to check to see if it was covered by my insurance. She said yes so I said ok, let's do it. It wasn't covered by my insurance, a very tiny amount was. I was out of pocket a lot of money that I didn't have budgeted. When I asked the nurse she was like there is no way to know. I never had this issue with doctors in the city. They could tell me my part of the bill right down to the penny within a few minutes. If you try to provide feedback to the billing department they become excessively defensive and rude. I don't know why the city doctors have the ability to bill me before I walk out the door and this rural doctors office states its impossible. They would save a ton of money on paper, postage, follow, etc if they just billed immediately. I dread going to the doctors due to the inconsistent and half-hazard billing procedures.

THIS HOSPITAL IS AWFUL!!!! My brother went to the emergency room with a cracked skull and they were going to make him wait almost 2 hours to see someone!!! I had to go in there screaming at the lady so he could be seen

Literally never stop billing you. I had surgery in 2021 and have paid over $5,000 after insurance. Just got yet another bill for $110 for a surgery I had a full year ago.

Terrie, per our COVID–19 visitor policy on our website, the visitation guidelines for Maternity are below. One visitor/support person, switching out is allowed. Postpartum patients allowed same support person during labor/delivery and one consistent visitor for duration of stay. Second person will receive identification band at first visit which allows entry into unit. One support person may spend the night. Immediate siblings are allowed to visit once a day at the same time. Multiple visits the same day are not permitted. If the patient is COVID positive, the visitor/support person is encouraged to stay for the duration of the hospital stay. If the person leaves, they will not be allowed to return to room.
