I called for an appointment for my lethargic dog (vomited, didn't eat her breakfast). Unfortunately they had no appointments available today, but rather than referring me elsewhere, the vet tech asked about her symptoms. He assessed she was not urgent and suggested homemade foods for her upset stomach - and to watch for improvement. If not by tomorrow, then bring her in. I was grateful for his guidance that made sense.
