The psychiatry part of this VA is the absolute WORST! I was placed on medication after a year of testing, a year of therapy and all by the Grand Junction VA (a great VA). I was seen on video and taken off my medication the first appointment. I called the GJ VA and they told me the way my file was written, no one should have pulled me off my medication the way Cheyanne VA did. I have had adverse reactions since. I went through years to find something to help my TBI and all, and then it was taken away. Sadly, there are many veterans in the Loveland/Fort Collins area that do not seek medical care due to feeling abandoned. I made a report to the DC hotline. I plan to take this further. I now pay out of pocket for mental health and other medical treatment without insurance due to the lack of help. It is a fin Another issue that has occurred is needing a complete labium repaired. I paid out of pocket for a civilian orthopedic doctor to help. I have lived with this for years now. The VA kept saying I was too young for the surgery to repair or that they could not find anyone that would do the surgery. The orthopedic doctors say I am almost too old to have the surgery and will be one of their oldest patients!

Cpap stopped working, and there are no replacements and the VA expects their patients to do all the leg works with Phillips to get a replacement.

As a disabled veteran, I have sought care from various VA facilities over the years. Without a doubt the Cheyenne VA Medical Center is the facility that all others should strive to emulate. Year in and year out they consistently deliver the highest quality service and care to our Veterans. The professional service and care they provide is second to none. They impart genuine concern and care for Veterans like me THANK YOU Cheyenne VAMC.

Hey Glenn, vaccinations are given by appointment only. Phone system was down, but you should be able to call 307-778-7550, press 8, then press 2.

I received an email for COVID vaccination appointments but the line has bee busy for a couple of days. Should I just wait until the initial surge of calls slows down or is there an issue with the phones?

Hi Nettie, the best thing to do is attempt to contact that person, or the person's family. Due to HIPPA, no information can be given about our Veterans without consent of the Veteran. I would suggest checking Facebook or other social media.

How is the medical care?

Mark Grass | Oct 5, 2019
Karen Macuich | Oct 5, 2019

I disagree. The care is very good, you're not treated like a number there and if it's going to take very long to get something done you can get outsourced.

Eligible Veterans, it's open to eligible Veterans.

Our group insurance ended Dec. 1st. At present time we have no insurance. I downloaded and completed form 10-10EZ. MY question is should I enroll my husband in Medicare? He is eligible . I'm not sure what to do with today being the 7th.
