Not sure what your question is, but if you find abandoned birds it's best to leave them alone unless you are prepared and willing to nurse them to health. Some birds will leave their babies if humans interfere with the nesters. I've cared for several baby birds and only one successfully left and joined its mom. It knew I had it and daily would watch over it when I would feed it and set it outside. I would walk away and leave it alone in my back yard in an open feeder and she would visit it and feed it. Long story but it worked.
We are sorry for your loss, but were glad to be a place of joy for your mom and would love to accommodate your request. Please call us and we can talk more specifics. 219-844-3188
No, we do not, as we do not allow visitors off-trail due to the sensitive nature of the habitat here. Thank you for checking before coming out.
Open 9-4 on Sundays and there's no fee to hike
Dogs are not allowed due to the sensitive natural of the plant and animal communities here.
Yes there are
We cannot care for any injured, young or abandoned animals, as we are not a certified wildlife rehab center. We refer all these requests to Humane Indiana Wildlife in Valpo (219-299-8027.)
