I have been shopping at Fresh Thyme for 4+ years now. Over these years, I have grown to know many on the staff. Everyone is kind and eager to assist when you ask them questions. The store is open and bright with sections labeled quite well. They carry a lot of the products that I enjoy and purchase on a weekly basis. This place used to be my one stop shop for groceries during the week. The only negative about this place is that since Meijer stepped in, they are trying to expand on their target market. This means the removal of some of my favorite items that I specifically go to this store for. This is to make room for things that are, in my personal opinion, not on brand with the store and its current mission and vision. I'm sorry, but well known brands of soda, candy and other items with poor ingredients do not belong in an establishment that prides itself on providing fresh, organic and healthy foods, supplements, wellness and skincare products.

I enjoy food for less. The prices are compatible with other discount food stores. For the most part, the associates that work there are helpful and friendly. There are a few cranky women that work there.

Currently, our meat partners do not track whether or not the feed is non-GMO which is in keeping current FDA guidelines. If you are looking for meat that was raised without GMO feed, you can choose USDA Organic certified meat.

We try to source locally as much as possible. We work with a variety of Midwest and US-based growers and suppliers, as well as some international partners to bring you the freshest products at great prices.]
While we do carry a wide variety of organic produce in our stores, we also carry some conventional items as well. Our organic section is labeled with green signs so it’s easy to spot in the store.
We believe in preserving the environment as much as possible. In all of our stores, we use Go Green World Project paper products. We also offer reusable bags and recyclable/recycled paper and plastic bags as well as receptacles for used plastic bags to be recycled. We have started composting initiatives at certain stores and electricity-saving initiatives like timed lights and water faucets. Additionally, we partner with food banks at each location to ensure food waste is minimized.
We have a variety of organic, natural and gluten-free options throughout the store, as well as more conventional items you could find at a typical grocery store. We pride ourselves in value-priced offerings and produce a weekly sales flyer where you can find very competitive deals in all our departments.
Our produce is GMO-free.
When we label meat as ‘natural’, that means that it does not contain any artificial ingredients, synthetics, or antibiotics and has been minimally processed.
There is a variety of vegetables
It's not about the dollar, which by the way, I work and we donate to charities on a monthly basis. It's about what it says on the bag...buy this bag, we donate a dollar to your favorite charity. They need to change their scanning process if they indeed donate the dollar.
I've seen everything but goat. Lamb, bison, buffalo, venison... but I'm not sure I've seen goat?
Sorry don't know. I met one of the store managers a few months ago, but haven't seen her around since. New manager perhaps ?
The fresh ground stuff? I don't know, bit I can tell youu it's good. I ask the question, do calories matter if the peanutbutter has no additional ingredients and it's a true representation of the ingredient. Do you want less than what it naturally is? Cheers
Yes
