This is the most rudest digusting people I have ever talked to in any housing authority. They don’t want to answer any questions you have and treat you like your less than them if you’re receiving housing assistance or in need. I recommend that anyone who is not getting the help that they need or feeling discriminated against call the HUD headquarters or the Indianapolis field office and make complaints. When the complaints start to add up things will start to change. I pray that anyone who has been feeling like nothings getting resolved get the help they need. This is ridiculous director barb is no help at all.

Honestly they are unorganized with horrible attitudes and they don't want to give you any information nor do they want to explain anything people really need to start going over these gov corporations and contact HUD

I DONT CARE WAT PROPPERTY JUST NNEED A VOUCHER FOR HAMMOND, IN.
Hammond Housing can assist with vouchers and a list of apartments and houses. You can port in to Hammond from Illinois. You have to talk to your current case worker 1st. Then call the Hammond office. Ask what info they need to port you in.
You have to make sure the area you are porting in to is accepting vouchers. The dollar amount should stay the the same, but you may not get as much for your dollar. I would suggest calling and setting up an appointment with Barb, who is in charge if the program. She is very friendly and will be able to answer all of your questions. Good luck!
Hammond
Their list is closed
Not sure. You need to go there. Are you already approved for Hammond? That will make a big difference. I do believe there's a waiting list.
Traffic Tickets does not count.
Go to city hall and ask questions
3 to 6 months. However, a medical referral and a call to your senators office usually boosts you to the top of the list. There are always exceptions
No, I'm in need of housing I wanted to apply for section 8 again. would like to fill out a application.
At the time when I go up there they just tell it's closed nothing I can do 😕
They should have gave you a paper with how much you would pay each month
