We have been waiting for our install to happen. The initial install date was delayed a day due to problems with their current install. So, instead of Friday they asked to reschedule to Saturday. We changed our weekend plans and said OK. They were a no call, no show. After calling and emailing several times on Saturday with no response, we were able to make contact on Monday. Rescheduled install. No call, no show! Rescheduled for Tuesday. No call, no show! I find out the scheduling folks have our building as installed and finished in their system!! Reached out to the sales folks... No response!! Don't bother with California All Steel!!

You are probably here after speaking with a “dealer” and planning out your order for a carport or building. Even if your dealer has solid reviews, make no mistake you will almost exclusively be working with this company after the dealer takes your money. This company is a disaster waiting to happen. My experience showed they have zero understanding of both agency law and contract law. Buyer be warned. Noting the negative reviews and hoping I would have a better experience, I signed a contract with them on December 2020. It was for a large building (30X60). I ordered plans and they took about 1.5 months to receive. I spent several months in correspondence with them as I needed proper signatures for my permit. With limited communication and numerous delays I finally got the signatures I needed. Due to covid there were further delays with my county processing my permit and finding a contractor for laying my found. The foundation was completed around November 2021. I immediately emailed them and said I was ready for install. They responded and let me know they would contact me when they could get me on the calendar. After no further response I emailed them around the end of January 2022 and received the following response, “Due to the date of your order , looks like we need to received it to the current pricing” I responded back that I was confused as I had signed a contract and the “dealer” very much represented in their correspondence back in December that if I signed the contract and paid the deposit my price would be locked in. In these correspondences the dealer explained that this would be appealing due to rising costs of steel. CAS wanted 10k more from the original contract, a 30% increase in price! CAS responded back highlighting two portions of their contract. The first portion stated that the contract is not final until approval by CAS….This is does not mean at any time you can just decide you no longer approve the contract. This means that at the time you accept my deposit, have a signed contract and you tell me to move forward, it is approved. Contract law is very clear about this. The second portion said that orders with incorrect pricing is subject to be placed on hold until revised. While this can be valid, this would likely be interpreted by a court if incorrect pricing is present when orders are placed and a contract is signed, for example a typo. Not because they no longer agree with the price. With both these portions of their contract interpreted in “their” manner they have basically given themselves all the benefit of a contract (can keep your deposit) with none of the risk (can get out of it at any time for any reason they choose). Lets also consider that CAS sat on their hands for large portions of the time between order and install, both when I needed permit papers signed and after the foundation was done. They were a part of the delays and pumped up their prices due to delays? How does this make sense? They also told me that they cannot be responsible for promises made by the dealer. Once again this is not how agency law works. With a large slab of expensive concrete sitting on my property, my deposit in their hands, and a half-fulfilled permit, I had no choice but to pay the extra money. I feel completely bait and switched and taken advantage of. Something I was looking forward to turned into a money-pit and a nightmare. Completely avoid this company. Read the reviews and more importantly read the responses from CAS. This sort of business will not last long if they continue to operate so predatorily towards customers. ***Reply to owners response: 2 years= 24 months. Original contract signed in December 2020 Area ready for install in November 2021 Total time=11 months. 11 months is not 2 years. The rest of your response, I have no idea what you are talking about. The county didn't require any changes to be made to my plans. You either have me mixed up with someone else or you're lying. The only thing that changed with what you offered was the price. I have everything in writing.

Great experience. Working with the Customer Service persons was very easy and a pleasure. Always kept up to date on what was required. The installation team was equally good. Well organized and efficient. My 40 x 20 metal garage was one of the best investments I have made in a long time. I highly recommend California All Steel for fabrication and installation of metal buildings.
