Traded me a fake german cap claiming it was authentic for a 1897 danish rifle worth 2x more. The other caps I got in the trade deal were authentic but the one was immediately identified as a fake by other collectors.

Surplus clothing, and other items are genuine. Some of the clothing bears damage to prove itself genuine. I personally like how my Six Color Desert jacket came with damaged threading, really adds to the history of it and all the other items. For collectors, I recommend visiting this neat little store - for the store's size, you can find yourself leaving with something interesting. Pricing is fair, I've frequently visited military surplus sites that sell the same items for the exact same price.. Sometimes more. Cherolee Military Surplus' staff are friendly, this wouldn't be a good review without mentioning that. It's important to mention that most of this store's items are American, but you can find some foreign items here if you look hard enough. I am looking forward to visiting this store again in the near future!

I wouldn't count on him having any in stock as it is a surplus store and things can come and go fairly quickly. It might be worth a stop in or a call since even if he doesn't have one he might be able to track one down for you.
I believe they do have a machine to stamp tags but I don't know what it costs. You will need to either call or simply stop by as the owner/operator doesn't do anything with the store online.
