If you're in the market for an LTL residential move, reconsider. I called and spoke with a friendly, helpful staff person (she gets 5 stars) who quotes $4600+ for a 3 bdrm sparsely furnished home. For each 200 SQ ft you add or subtract it's $200 either way. Gas prices are insane right now so it's understandable plus coordinating logistics of a partial load in their end. I get it. Plus you don't have to palletize your load, which is nice. BUT the flexibility and time sensitivity you get using a truck or pod is not a feature of LTL freight so there's no cost savings and in fact a loss of responsiveness on the customer's end. So Old Dominion has some of the best prices in trucking and a good reputation but not an option for me as a cross country residential move.

O.D. is always looking at inquiries. It took me 6 months to come on the dock. But it depends if there is openings immediately. Right now we are a little slow so they might not be hiring as of right now. But you never know, and it's always good to find out by going to the website, or going in person.
They always hire people for all positions. Don't hurt to apply.
