Thanks for your question. Yes, the oil we use is a natural product derived from the ground. Our heating oil is blended with bio heating oil which includes all natural ingredients (soy bean based). Ur correct ,most older tanks r 275 capacity, but the bare minimum is 150 .main thing for a new home owner is Cleaning & Servicing every year & not running the unit out of oil
