My husband is a patient at Utah Pain Specialist. He has been going there for years. We always have anxiety calling about our bill because Heather is very unkind and not a very understanding person. This last time we spoke to her, helped us make up our minds that we can not go back. She has always made us feel awful and we have always ignored it because the doctors and nurses are wonderful. But after this last time, we are looking else where for doctors. I really hope Utah Pain Specialist get better office staff. It's a shame that she needs to treat people so unkindly.

Unfortunately, this would be a great place but some of the office staff need to be trained on how to treat people. The doctors and nurses are fantastic. However, Heather is very unprofessional and unkind. She could use some training in costumer service. A family member of mine has been a patient at Utah Pain Specialists for many years. Recently, she has been experiencing financial hardships. She always makes her payments each month. She called in and tried to make a payment of $40 (which is all she had) She could hear Heather laughing about the payment in the background. Heather picked up the phone and told her it wasn't enough. My family member explained her hardships (again) to Heather. This isn't the first time that Heather has made her feel worthless for not making a larger payment. My family member called me crying and upset. She is doing the best she can. She hasn't returned for medical treatment there in months because Heather makes her feel so uncomfortable. She just wants to pay them off so she doesn't have to feel this way anymore. It's unfortunate because the doctors are amazing.

Dr. Matsumara was horrible. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my entire life. Just because I was hesitant about getting a procedure done on my other side that I had yet to see any results for on the first side he did. Asked to speak to him before the procedure but they kept trying to just get me back in the procedure room before I could ask questions. 3 different times they tried to get me to just go get it done with out talking to him, but I stood my ground. When he finally came in he YELLED WHAT?? WHAT DO YOU WANT? At me.... told me 40 other people were waiting for their procedure and I'm messing it up.... Seriously appalling behavior. I have continously heard other people who have also had terrible experiences with him. I can't believe he still is practicing medicine. Look anywhere else.

Dr Shau was very pleasant to be by,however I have been going there for several years. They thru a surprise drug test (first in about 10 yrs) and explained to me that it was dirty. They did not want explanation or didn't want to hear what happened, instead they canceled my appointment that was less than a week and withdrew me from clinic.Heather told me not to come back and I was on my own. NO HELP FOR WITHDRAWAL OR ANYTHING. I would not recommend this clinic.
