Ive gone to many platoâs closest stores and this one is one of my favorites. I found a lot of great finds! đ

Need to train employees better. I simply asked for an itemized receipt after hearing the offer given for the bins of clothes I brought in. Employee blatantly refused and said âwe donât do that hereâ. Tough walking out of there not feeling like you got ripped off when thatâs the attitude.

The truth about Platoâs closet. Sell/Buy at your own risk! Iâve been here off and on for years as well as worked here prior. Selling: If you want to make money off your clothes, shoes and accessories do not sell anything worthwhile here! Unless you donât care about the amount it will never be worth it. I have noticed they will never sell it at 70% off retail prices. So that 30% you get will not be worth it. That is a complete lie. Not only have I seen this. I have also brought designer bags brand new or like new. They were still being sold in stores or only a month afterwards retailing anywhere between $250-$500 and they will offer you between $10-$25. Itâs a complete rip off. Sell it yourself or consign somewhere. They will tell you they check how much it goes online but will pick a low priced one even if it has stains and claim thatâs how much your brand new item is worth. When you sell they price it by new, great and good condition(unless that has changed) I was told and witnessed this. They will buy everything as âgoodâ unless it has tags. Which means you will almost always get the cheapest amount. They do have guidelines itâs rare itâs followed. I have watched employees grab stuff I brought without looking and immediately take it or throw it back. So they DO NOT ALWAYS check the condition, brand, etc. I have seen them pick up my bin and move it to the shelf and immediately say theyâre not taking anything. Then when I go up and tell them I brought stuff. They said âItâs older styles and wrong brandsâ itâs a joke. They didnât know I saw them and they lied about it. The employees are most of time not friendly and seem miserable. The owners have been rude numerous times. Buying: Donât just take my word for it. If you walk around after they claim they canât take your new, great quality fashionable stuff, itâs clear to see how inconsistent it is. They claim they donât take stuff like womenâs, department store, Walmart, etc. I have seen XL kids shirts that are obviously department store kids brand. Or things found in petite or womenâs from kohls. They are not thorough when buying. I have tried on items that have stains, rips, smells. They shouldnât have been put out. They take a lot of fast fashion like shein which is cheaply made and will sell it for more. They say they donât take older than 2 years but not true. They often have designer bags that are clearly at least 10 years old. They sell a lot of stained bags too. They sell Victoriaâs Secret and American eagle thatâs around 5-10 years old. Itâs in such used condition itâs about to rip and price it between $15-$50. They will buy a brand they like even if itâs way past 2 years all the time. I have bought bags or looked at bags which they donât check. Iâve found within these bags credit cards, money, tobacco wrappers, cigarette boxes, etc. I mentioned it to employees and they just shrug it off. They have sold items like Nike that heavily smell like weed. Sometimes I will bring stuff but only stuff they may take that otherwise I will just donate to goodwill. I never ever would take nor do I recommend anyone taking quality items they want money for. Itâs not only a ripoff, theyâre very disrespectful about it. If they did what they claim to do, would be courteous and didnât lie about the buying. They could possibly fix things and thrive. For now? And how itâs been? Itâs not what they advertise at all and completely a waste often times. Overall, if youâre about to donate good clothes and accessories and want to give selling it a shot go ahead. If youâre trying to get money from quality items(for what theyâre actually worth) donât do it.

Despite being a smaller store, the selection is fantastic. Women's selection is larger than men's but they have a surprising amount of male clothing. The quality of both was excellent. I was shopping for young women's and some clothes for me (male). We all found options that covered our needs and the staff was helpful and engaging without being pushy. One point, they have no public restrooms so if you are shopping with kids, or you need the restroom, be prepared for a trek across the parking lot to Subway (closest one at their direction).

Iâm sure it depends on certain factors
If your child is small enough
No. Clothing only shoes apparel
Yes you have to take it in and they will tell you what they want and how much they want for the items. Also if you are not happy with the price for your items you do not have to sell it to them
I just came from the Lancaster store and they did have a now hiring sign in the window. I'm not sure if the app process is an online type thing though...
