Great work today! Thanks for the quick and responsive nature of the technician. Homayoon did a really nice job and repaired my dryer on the spot. Normally techs have to order parts and come back again, but not Sears (A&E) replaced it on the spot.

Like others have said, the customer service call center in India is almost completely disconnected from the technicians who respond to the calls. On a Friday, I told the representative that we needed our oven door's outer glass pane replaced by Tuesday because we had sold the house and were moving away on Wednesday. They looked up the part, told me it was in stock in my area, quoted me $275 for parts and labor, and booked the appointment. On Tuesday, the technician showed up having no idea what had been promised to us over the phone. When he looked it up, the part was actually not in stock in the area and would have to be special-ordered. Needless to say, it did not get done on Tuesday and our $2k security deposit is absolutely at risk due to their incompetence. Only use these guys if you have time to spare and a good lawyer on speed-dial. EDIT: they also refused to cancel the $99 "diagnostic" fee (that was not discussed at the time of booking) after the tech showed up, scanned the appliance model number (that we had provided over the phone) and declared that he didn't have the part. Owner, if you want to make this right, clear that bill from the face of the earth.

As a retired Navy person, I believe strongly in Preventive Maintenance! So this was an annual check included in my Sears Master Protection agreement...one of the only such I find with preventative maintenance included. The check was performed thoroughly and professionally.

Service people were great. Sears wanted to charge me $700+ for $200. cost of parts. Easier to purchase a non-sears stove with a warranty.
