The best company you can hire for water, mold remediation and reconstruction. I had a terrible water leak that flooded my home in Florida and I was not there. We live in New York most of the time. My neighbor informed me of water coming out of my home and we hired Antonio because he has a great reputation in our neighborhood (The Breakers West). Puroclean of Wellington is a full service company and they managed the water damage, the mold remediation and they did a mold-free reconstruction. I had a second-floor toilet failure, and water ran for a couple of days until we came back from the weekend holiday. There are a multitude of different molds that can be found in a home. When you discover mold the “name” of the mold is much less significant than the fact that you have growing mold at all. All mold produce allergyns and mycotoxins; some very weak, some quite potent
No! Water conducts electricity and can deliver a potentially deadly electric shock. If the fire is from an appliance and you can safely unplug it, go ahead. You can also use a heavy blanket to cut off its oxygen supply and smother it, or you can use a fire extinguisher designed for a Class C fire.
Water from outside the structure is contaminated and should be handled be professionals such as PuroClean. Even if the water was not from outside if it is there for an extended time then many materials will need to be removed because of the increased contamination from long-standing water. Drywall will soften and may fall, especially from ceilings. Carpet, pad and other floor coverings may need to be removed. Every situation is different! For the best, specific advice, please call your local PuroClean as soon as the damage is discovered.
