We've been going to Oktoberfest every year for 7+years, staying Friday-Sunday. Previous years always had some kind of "stay and play"package, where you get an all activities wristband per person per night. Three years ago the package included free breakfast at the restaurants, which was removed from the package last year. This year the wording sneakily changed and it is now just one ticket per person no matter the nights booked. For 2 nights 2 people that's an extra ~220 value that's been removed in the last 2 years (with prices still keeping up with inflation). The room we got this year the shampoo dispenser in the shower wouldn't dispense however long you pumped, the shower drain was so slow that you could literally fill the tub by showering (with the drain open), and room service is now on a request only basis (this on their level 9 rooms, supposedly their best, with spa access). We'll definitely be reconsidering whether to continue this 7+ year tradition. Value for cost and quality of the stay has gone down much faster than inflation has gone up.

It's a two lane road most of the way. During the winter, you can expect traffic during the times people are going to and returning from skiing/snowboarding. They require tire chains or 4 wheel drive during snow storms up until the roads are cleared. There is traffic during Octoberfest on the weekends. Keep an eye out for people crossing the street and bike riders, mostly in the warmer months. You can look at hourly travel times in Waze. Keep in mind that future date travel times will be off if there is bad weather.
