Tint is illegal on the front windows of NJ registered vehicles unless you have a medical exemption signed off by the NJ MVC. Tint on the rear and back windows is legal as long as it 1) does not obstruct the third brake lamp 2) is not mirror 3) is not cracked or peeling as to cause an obstruction.
