Pennsbury Manor is a wonderful look back at what is as close to the 17th century manor as historians and architectural experts could get the rebuild in the 1930's. (The original manor on the grounds was collapsed and decayed by the 1730's) Highly recommended for any history fan, ensure you catch one of the guided tours of the manor!

Cool place for a day trip with the fam.interesting local history in a scenic location right on the Delaware river. Only down side is it was like 100 degrees inside the mansion but I guess that's how it was back in the day haha. Highly recommend

It is a great place to step back in time and visit the summer home of William Penn. You can walk to grounds of a recreated (at least in spirit) of his residence. They offer tours from very enthusiastic guides and have many special days offering demonstration from spinning yarn to brewing beer. Great place for education or just a relaxing day.
