Just finished a stay at Manistee from 5/13-5/16. They have 2 courses, The Revenge and Retreat. AKA- Canthooke Valley and Cutters Ridge. The resort itself was beautiful with an incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are very basic even with an "upgraded" room that we booked. This wasn't a negative since the only real use was to sleep in the room. The grille had a great staff as well with many good food options and a great wait staff. The 2 courses were just stunning in their scenery. Canthooke Valley was definitely the easier of the 2 courses, but featured longer Par 4's with more forgiving fairways and greens. It was definitely scorable if you can hit the fairway. #18 at Canthooke is just a postcard picture and a tough tee shot. Great finishing hole. Cutters is a very demanding course which doesn't require driver on most of the holes. It has tighter tee shots and smaller fairways, but plays on the shorter side. If you're looking for a good deal and a great getaway with friends, I would highly recommend Manistee.

The prices here are unbeatable. Close to town but far enough out to not be bothered by city noise. Pool and hot tub were great. Staff was great. I'll be back here as much as I can. 10 min from casino.
