The actual services provided were fine and the service providers were all nice and considerate. The rabbi they provided exceeded our expectations. But the 7 day candle burned for 3 days and I will never understand how a Jewish funeral home could not provide for a funeral in less than four (!) days. I don’t know if there’s any connection between the home and the cemetery but when the cemetery proposed burial the day after the service (which was outrageous, enormously inconvenient and FIVE days after death) the funeral home was no help and I had to negotiate a more appropriate, more timely result myself.

Dear Steve and Riverside Stanetsky Memorial Chaples, I don't know where to begin. First with a GIANT THANK YOU!!! Here's the scenario, my 96 year old WWII veteran gets the flu and is hospitalized. My brother gets him into a rehab. I fly down and get him HOME!!! He is not doing well, so I decide to stop into the funeral home where he prepaid his burial arrangements many, many, years ago. I have NO APPOINTMENT yet you, Steve, not only meet with me you get the contract and sit and explain EVERY SINGLE THING I MAY FACE IF MY DAD DOES PASS AWAY. Just that alone is honest, kind and unbelievable! My dad does indeed die a week later and not only do you keep your word you follow his original contract. Your sister company I.J. Morris receives my dad and safely and gingerly brings him to his resting place right next to our mom. We could NOT ask for more. I would be a spokesperson for you and your sister company any day of the week. Michael Lenoci at I.J. Morris was just as kindhearted and caring as you were. We can't thank you enough for doing all you could for us and our dad. You even guided me through the process for a Military Service with taps and the flag folding. What a tribute to our dad who served his country at the age of 19 helping to give us the freedom we now share. Steve please don't hesitate to give my name and number to anyone as a reference for your fine Memorial Chapel. I will be singing your graces to all of the people I know who have relatives down in Florida that need to be treated with honesty and care and brought up to their resting place in New York. We lost a family member on Easter and we were very thankful to have Steven and his staff help us every step of the way. They were very caring and understanding and it felt like they were part of the family. I am not sure we would have gotten through those first few days as well as we did if it weren't for them. We are thankful, every day, to have people like the ones at Riverside to take care of all the planning and every detail while we mourned and celebrated our parent. Thank you all for being there for us.

The staff at Riverside Stanetsky Funeral Home made me feel at home even though home was a long way off. Steven, Corinne, and the rest of the staff are very personable and have big hearts and understanding at a time of need. I love all of them and highly recommend them for any need in the future. They worked tirelessly, were extremely diligent in heart, arranging for all of my families needs and made what could have been a very traumatic experience such as loosing my mother livable.
