I don't live in Omaha anymore, but Laka Lono forever changed my life. During the pandemic in 2020, Laka Lono opened its doors to sell full bottles of rum to anyone willing and able to make their home collection bigger. I knew nothing about rum and talked to one of the bartenders for a while who explained all of the different regional varieties, producing styles, etc and recommended a few spirits to me. I bought the Smuggler's Cove book to learn more about rum production and soon and quickly came to terms with why someone would choose to open an underground tropical escape oasis in the middle of Omaha, Nebraska, one of Earth's coldest places in the wintertime. The staff is excellent, well-read, and extremely knowledgable. I had a Mai Tai here that changed my life and hope if you're reading this and haven't tried one that you''ll try one too. After not having food for years here, they wisely brought food in as well. The drinks are incredible, works of art in every way, and the atmosphere will let you escape. I had a "going away" party here late in 2021 and the staff was super accomodating to my not knowing the size of the party. The whole place erupted in cheers when our small party did a toast and didn't know why, but they just did. I've had so many magical experiences here and hope you will too. I am grateful to the staff that keeps this place running because they work awfully hard to do so.

Aloha! At this time, due to Covid and all that came with shutting down for a few months, we do not have any mugs at the moment and it may be a while until we do :( We do have some lapel pins for sale at our location however and we still have to go cocktails and bottles available for purchase!
