My only experience with this agency is beng turned down, though they said they could help me with caregivers, because I wanted to keep using Sunlight Senior Care for weekday mornings and afternoons and they said they wouldn't work with them. I''m told that Sunlight had to stop The Key from trying to steal their aides.

MayAnn is just a remarkable companion and caregiver. I can’t say enough good about how caring, thoughtful and creative she is. She’s making a difference in my mom’s life— expanding her world, sharing good conversation, providing great company. Huge thanks to her!

Returning home, after a recovery at Tabitha about a year ago, my father began receiving care three days a week. I don’t live in Lincoln though I do manage to be very active in his care. No matter where I am across the country, I arrive every other weekend. That’s where The Key has bridged the gap. As his health began to decline further at the end of last year, we started every day care and Jess was assigned as care manager. Personal caregiving is as much about care as it is about personalities meshing. Jess was helpful as we searched for a fit. Then we were blessed in early February to have Dallis assigned one day a week. The first day after she cared for him, he insisted to me that she be there seven days a week. So, I made a special trip to Lincoln to watch their interaction the following week. Wow!! Dallis impressed me so much that I immediately asked Jess for her to be assigned as many shifts as she was available. What sets Dallis apart is her ability to truly watch, listen, and then astutely adjust to my father’s needs. Excellent work, Dallis and the supporting office staff who have made it easier for me to rest assured that my father is in good hands. Thank you so much!

If you value safety, security, and reliability, yes. A quality home care agency is insured and also manages the performance and scheduling of its caregivers, handles billing and payrol, and has back-up caregivers to fill in when needed. With a private hire caregiver, you’re responsible for setting up payroll and withholding taxes, caregiver vetting and background checks, and purchasing sufficient liability insurance to cover any accidents or injuries in the home.
We follow infection mitigation best practices and safety protocols, informed by the CDC and local authorities, and provide appropriate PPE to our caregivers. The majority of our caregivers and Care Team members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Home care is typically billed by the hour, so the cost depends on the number of care hours per week and can vary slightly by region. Most families pay out-of-pocket for their care or use long-term care insurance.
The best caregiver is an experienced professional who has the training and skills to support your loved one’s care needs. It’s also imporatnt to find a caregiver who’s extremely reliable, has back-up if necessary, and is a good fit in terms of personality and shared interests.
Home care is a supportive service provided by a professional caregiver in the home or community where a resident lives (in addition to facility supports) for peace of mind, companionship, and personal care. Caregivers can perform tasks such as running errands, preparing meals, assisting in the shower, fall prevention, and initiating brain stimulation activities to stimulate cognitive function.
There are different options but I believe your needs could be met. Call the office and they can go over all of that.
