I would not recommend going on a Sunday afternoon. We were told wait time was 20 minutes, waited 40 minutes and went to check when another party that came in after us was called back, to find out we had been skipped and our name was marked off the list. Gravy was cold and waitress was nowhere to be found. Complained at checkout, but no discount given.

I have eaten at many steakhouses many restaurants and I can honestly say that this evenings experience at the Brandin iron was one of the worst restaurants I think I have ever eaten at. Excuses were made for Chef quitting staff being overworked because of lack of help. If you're that far behind you should just really close the restaurant and not put that kind of Sal quality food out for paying customers. I would have given this less than one star if possible the worst $60 Steakhouse experience I think I've ever had party of 12 and one baby and the food ranged on the table from extremely undercooked to completely Raw the salads were pathetic the tea was watered down had to constantly ask the wait staff over and over for the same items two of the people at our table did not receive their food until everybody else at the table was done eating I can honestly say don't waste your money here and I don't believe we will ever go back

The Stig

Perhaps I caught them on a bad day... it seems like there was one hostess and one waitress. It took 10 minutes to get seated. Although once that happened I got my drink and order taken pretty quickly. The food, while edible, was poorly prepared. Chicken breast was way overdone, dry and tough. Fries were a mixture of underdone and almost done. Those is a shame because, properly cooked, it would have been quite tasty. For this reason I gave them 3 stars. However, based on this experience, I would have to be quite hungry to return.

Great food. Awesome atmosphere. Had lunch with friends and their family. Staff kept us well watered and fed (that sounded like we were plants, sorry). Very personable and relatable. I will make the drive again from Hoover to eat there again. Definitely worth it. Oh and the drive was gorgeous too.
