Hi Corey! Yes, manual wheelchairs are available inside both entrances of the Missouri History Museum. There is no fee to use them while visiting.
They have an interactive area he would enjoy but the resturant next to it he would really enjoy.
There is no cost for any of the exhibits or events.
The exhibit you are talking about is called "St. Louis Sound". It will be open on the first floor of the museum all day Thursday. It is free and open till eight.
The Mo History Museum is free great place to spend the day
Thank you for your support! Our senior rate is $70 for a year of membership and can be found here: https://mohistory.org/support/membership-specials/
Yes, reservations are to be made prior to your visit. It's a simple and quick process.
Great question here is a link to give you all the answers to your question https://leefamilyarchive.org/reference/essays/britton/index.html
The exhibit "Panoramas of the City" is still on (through early Dec); it has numerous large format images of STL taken with old-time panoramic cameras. Some interesting local stories.
That exhibit will actually start tomorrow 25 March 2018 at THE ST LOUIS ART MUSEUM (not MO Natural Museum). Both are located in Forrest Park.
I know there's accessible ramps but I've never seen wheelchairs for use but if you have one the building is definitely wheelchair equipped
in the archives but not on display currently
Hi Jackie, Our fall Twilight Thursdays concert series will take place on September 15, 22, and 29, from 6β8pm. We hope to see you there!
Contact the main desk.
Hi Dorothy! Thank you for your interest in artifact donation. We'd be happy to receive an inquiry about the items: https://mohistory.org/about/policies-and-guidelines/artifact-donation
Hi Aubrie! Our outdoor Twilight Thursdays concerts take place in May and September each year. During the rest of the year, we have indoor programs every Thursday evening (some with a musical focus that include performances). Each has a happy hour with food and beverage available for purchase as well. You can learn more about upcoming Thursday Nights at the Museum here: https://mohistory.org/thursday-nights
I believe you have to wear clothes and some type of foot covering π
Hi Patricia! Our exhibits are all free to the public, but we do offer guided tours for large groups that are $3 per person. For groups that prefer to explore at their own pace, self-guided gallery time is offered free of charge. Either way, we encourage you to register your group visit in advance to ensure you have a quality experience: https://mohistory.org/learn/college-adult-learning/group-programs/exhibit-tours Thanks!
Not when I was there, exhibits do change over time. You might call them directly and see
Hi, Jack. Yes! If you pair your AirPods with a phone, you can use the phone to scan a QR code and listen to our playlist while going through the "St. Louis Sound" exhibit.
I would think the number of people you have will be a big factor. π I have always enjoyed my time at the museum. π
No try elsewhere.
Hi Kristin! The Missouri History Museum and all of its exhibits are completely free to the public. We look forward to your visit.
Our special exhibit "Beyond the Ballot" will be open for the rest of 2021 and until June 5, 2022. We hope you'll be able to visit!
The Missouri History Museum and its exhibits are completely free to the public. We look forward to your visit!
You can see the clerk at the information desk near the entrance. They should have all the information you need.
Yes, there is two entrances. Front and back
Jazz and r&b
Yes, most, but not all are free.
There may be food trucks when they have their music concerts in the spring.
Probably go to website to find out?
As above
If you are a history buff, you could easily spend a couple hours, reading everything, pouring over maps, listening to audio components, etc. But for the casual fan, probably 30 minutes is nice.
Twilight Tuesday: a music series on the front lawn of the history museum
The museum has a couple of spots to host events. Just call their number
Yes it is. Free exhibit
If you give the museum a call they're wonderful about helping you find out what events are available and so forth. Good luck :)
No
Jean I have never seen one but that does not mean they will not have one if you go to the museum ask them at the information desk they do special displays for many things that are there short time
You should be able to do it on their website. If not, you may visit them directly and inquire about it at Guest/Visitor services.
Its free entry for both kids and adults. There's is children's area, which my kid loved.
Most definitely!! & we have a great exhibit going on right now showing the history civil rights movement in St.Louis!!
Friday, December 29th from 10:30am - 1pm
There was no charge at the time we went. My understanding is all museums in the park are free on Saturdays and that admission to this specific museum is free. I am not from the area so I am unsure of the specifics
