Amtrak is an amazing option if you need to travel and don't want the stress of driving! Trains leave on time so make sure to be there a bit earlier (they do get delayed if a freight train is crossing since those have priority over passenger trains). I've had the best experience with short travel, my train from Texas to Illinois ended up with delays totaling 4 hours. I haven't ridden a train that far since and have had no issues with shorter routes (I take the Lincoln service) Absolutely phenomenal staff, I've never had and issue and they have always been helpful and kind!

Train ride review: several things happened that staff couldn't control, which I understand. But, there was this one particular passenger behind us being obnoxious and saying very inappropriate things with kids near him. Staff heard this and didn't do anything about it.

Yes, there are usually cabs waiting on the east side of the station when trains arrive.
I know for sure they are there at 730pm everynite bc there is a train that goes to chicago everyday at 730pm
