If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The service was good & the food was DELICIOUS!!! I ordered The Banks Omelet (shrimp, pimento cheese, bacon & sauteed peppers/onions). That was one of the BEST omelets I've ever eaten. The home fries were very well seasoned too. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'll definitely go back to try some other items on their menu the next time I'm in Morehead City.

Lovely little diner that filled up QUICK, and I see why! Doors opened right at 730 for us, and there was already a line when we got there at 715 Best grits I've had in a long time with awesome homemade sausage patties and biscuits. Got to try some of the Banana Rum French Toast and was to die for.

Edit: New owners young and present. Restaurant didn’t skip a bit in excellence. Love this place. Best bacon hands down. They have jams of the day. Haven’t been disappointed with anything.

Bustling family owned breakfast grill (with lunch options too). Serve bfast till they close at 2pm. Frequented by a lot of locals which speaks to their consistent quality I think. We had a pimento cheese & chips appetizer, was tasty would get again. Their pancakes were blah, but their biscuits, grits, and homemade jams were amazing. Breakfast Chimichanga (pic) Monday's special was delicious. It's basically their breakfast burrito then briefly deep fried and covered in queso. I split open. The tortilla in the pic to show the egg and sausage inside. It also came with a Texas Pete and ranch sauce that was delicious for dipping the home fries. I also had their Lighthouse Breakfast, poached or fried eggs over tuna-crab cake, half biscuits, covered in tomato gravy. The gravy was not helping the dish. The home fries were top notch. Tuna cake was just okay, but the combination of the runny egg yolk and biscuit was perfect. My poached eggs were cooked thru, so I asked for another two and they came out quickly and cooked just right.
