Lost my job and was unable to get work because of the incompetent workers here. You can never get someone on the phone and you leave messages and they never get back to you. When you do get someone they can't help you and they transfer you but they actually hung up on you and here it is week 2 no job and no reply from these office dwellers that can destroy someone's life for being lazy and there are no repercussions for their short comings.

I believe all you have to do is take an eye test and maybe the knowledge test not quite sure but make sure to bring in the old id / license if so if y'all have it just in case bring in social security card birth certificate two pieces of mail with the address on it current address
I went to the express center the William snodgrass building down town. You can Google the address, it was fairly quick. I didn't have any luck on line.
No you do not need appointment at all if there is enough people you may have to stand in the line that goes outside with 6 ft between each person making it seem forever,,, but basically as long as you're not testing out or getting renewal of license it's walk in or appointment. The other day my ticket number got called before I have the opportunity to get seated and look at it I couldn't believe it

There are 3 drivers service s centers in Davidson County. Hart Lane, Hickory Hollow and down town at Tennessee Towers. The Tower does not provide road tests.
My son is active military and his DL expires on 1/10/2020. He will have already returned to Fort Drum NY by that time. In order for him to renew with a REAL ID driver's license, would his active Military ID be accepted for "Proof of Citizenship"?

If I'm not mistaken he is currently in the computer already Social Security number is very important if his ID has his residency or he has a voters registration card I do believe you'll be just fine and you can also go online to do that as well to get the process started I hope that helps

No, he'd have to go to a full service center and have them do a vision test. They'd only be able to give him an ID here, and he can't drive with that.

The closest one to this one is the Hart Lane location. They open at 8:30, and the line starts forming at around 7. You will need to bring in a birth certificate/passport, social security card/w-2, and 2 proofs of Tennessee residency(utility bills, lease, car title, etc.)

You can renew with the gold star at any time, if you're not able to renew then it will be a duplicate. You need to bring in a birth certificate/ passport, social security card/ w-2, and 2 proofs of tennessee residency (utility bills, car title, voter registration, etc)

Not at ANY express location u will have to go to one of the main branches.. The one in franklin is fast only waited 45min max and i went near closing time

No, this center does not transfer out of state license. This is the express center for in state license renewal and other services

You could either park at the 714 church St paid parking or use the on street parking meters on Polk avenue or Rosa l parks. 5 mins walk from these parking area to the drivers license service center which is located on the 7th avenue north street

Nope, its based on walk in. They issue tokens onsite if you queue up. They have very helpful staff!
