Our family loves Interlochen State Park. The spots are (for the most part) big and well shaded. We frequent the Park Store a few times for ice cream & souvenirs. They also organize activities for the kids to do, so fun! The beach area is decent, rocky, but manageable. The water is beautiful!! Great family friendly park!!

Nice park. We prefer the north park over the South Park. Sites are shaded with lots of trees. Some of the sites can be a challenge will long trailers. We love the north side away from the water. It is a close walk to Interlochen Center of the Arts. When the wind is right you can hear campers rehearsing trumpets and euphoniums. 2022 - our second trip to Interlochen State Park. We wanted to stay at the north park but it was closed due to construction. This time we go site 345 in the south camping loop. Not a bad site. A lot easier to get into than 197. The bath house is brand new. They made it a tornado shelter. It is huge. If you like wooded bigger sites with no one behind you. I recommend site 331 in the south camp loop. That will be on our list of preferred sites next time.

I had the pleasure of camping in the park and outside of the park at the rustic location. They are pet friendly, and family friendly. Camping inside the park has perks of plumbing(showers and flushing toilets) vs the rustic spots having what I call “permanent porta-pottys” which is fine but as of my most recent stay the rustic camp…people will poo outside of the toilet for wha the very reason ruining it for the rest of us. On another note the spots are clean in the camp ground in the state park. No debris and silliness to be had. Rustic spots offer more riff raff I would imagine. Rustic spots are a bit harder to find in the dark. All in all I would recommend staying in the camp grounds inside the park unless you’re looking for a more “rustic” experience.

A great park on a great lake with a wide variety of site types to meet the needs of all camping preferences. Up front by the water fro.smaller sites with more sun and lake view, in the back for larger sites backed up to woods for more shade and privacy. Great camp store. Great beach. Swimmers itch is real, but just use sunblock and towel off after swimming and you will be fine.

10pm should be normal quiet time in state parks.
Not sure about specific carriers, we have Verizon and had absolutely no issues.
For a site with 25/30 amp electrical, $25/night, for a 50 amp site, $29/night, and finally $17 for a rustic site.
Not sure didn't see anybody with golf carts at all a lot of people on their bicycles or walking.
I found Lost Lake to have some great intermediate trails. Just 15 minutes north west of Interlochen. You can check out my ride log to see where it's at and what kind of trails to expect. https://www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/17826225/
Across the road at Green lake :)
The park does not have water hook up. They do have a dump station before exiting the park. Most come with full tanks and I have seen many campers with "honey pots" with extra water for extended stays.
It's the new office and shop building with a storm ready shelter
Yes. Go to https://midnrreservations.com/ online reservation is easy.
No cable TV that i saw. Also didnt see wifi but phone signal was good. I would call them to be sure!
The store by the beach has rentals. I cant remember exact price but very reasonable.
There are individual shower rooms at each bath house.

Only $5.00 if you stay on the rustic side. Modern campground showers are included
Modern cabin we stayed in had two sets of bunks as well as a futon. Pictures are available on the state parks website once you select a cabin site.
There were people with pontoon and ski boats on the lake while we were camped there. As far as i know there is no restrictions on the lake.
