Just returned the 60’ tow behind lift. It was an old and tired lift. Full of tree branches from the last rental, dinged and battered up, rusty, it didn’t look real good, but when I paid for it, I figured I was getting a deal, $318 for two days. Got it on site and the happiness started to fade. I have rented these before, and knew you get some sway when it’s extended, but this was a lot of movement, I had to keep myself a long way away from the surfaces I was painting or it would slam into the overhangs as it moved. It would also occasionally drop an inch as I was working, not a real calming experience! When it was fully extended and I went to bring it back it, it bellowed like a bull, people were looking from three doors down to see what was breaking. But I finished out the day, dealt with the issues, got it done. Dropped it off in the morning, talked to two guys checking them in, told them the issues with the lift. Then about an hour later, got a call from the office that they had accidentally only charged me for one day. So, instead of a good deal on an old and tired lift, I paid $636 for two days of stress. I told the office of the problems, but they weren’t real interested in hearing it...
