I also was made to feel belittled when I called abt how much money it is extra daily or whatever for my taxes being late and was actually told more about how they sent the notices out over 2months ago and so most people don't usually pay them late!! I couldn't believe the way he was talking to me!

I sympathize with these very negative reviews, but I think the blame is rightly placed on the supervising person for poor training. The building is a mess and the entrance is a mystery event when looking at it. I don’t know how that decision was made, and they may have had limiting funds to fix the COVID entrance issue, but the lack of helpful information shows complete disrespect for the general public. The lady that helped me was informed, polite, and prompt. Blaming the staff is misplaced anger. Vote for better public service.

I have never had the pleasure to work with such an inept government department as this one. It starts with the new "covid" entrance, which forces customers to park away from the building, around the block, but reserves the original entrance for employees.... A customer service person who told me that there was nothing they could do, because DMV down the street did not transfer the plates correctly. The vehicle has since been sold, so the plates were strictly being returned. I needed a supervisor to straighten this out, which became the beginning of this joke. After 3 attempts to get a refund on the early registration, sent to me, they finally mailed the check 4 weeks later to the wrong address, after the supervisor read the correct address to me two times. Not once was it mentioned that the county does not refund anything under $5.00. If I had known that, I would have asked the question during our monthlong ordeal. The supervisor informed me of that during my last conversation. So, $ 5.67, was mailed to the incorrect address, that they picked up from who knows where..... From we can't help you to...., wait lets waste everyones' time for 6 weeks and get it wrong anyways. Oh by the way, since the computers are "hacked", drive around to each department for a day (Tax, DMV)., chances are you will be doing it at least twice.
