This a real gem. It is actually a real historic house full of artifacts, original furniture and decor. Some pieces were built by original owner of the house. Property is very well maintained despite its age. Host Jane is a very kind welcoming person, she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Home cooked breakfast was delicious and very generous. We will definitely stay there again.

Historical house with authentic period furniture, artifacts, books and more are cared for by the trustworthy Trustee & host Jane. Hot breakfast with lots of food served on China. More than a bed & breakfast but an experience. It was like staying at a mini Downtin Abbey. Fifteen minute walk to downtown Lodi, we walked back after sunset & for a Saturday night it was calm, safe & quiet. Our classic car was parked in the driveway and there is a tall gate around the property. We felt safe & our classic car was fine. We are already planning a return visit.

The Hill House is beautiful and preserved so that you are seeing and using original antique furniture, carpets, wallpaper, etc. The mood is peaceful and Jane is a warm, caring person who makes sure everything from food to soap to rooms make you feel relaxed and pampered. Can't recommend the inn and Jane enough. Great experience.

Hello Jadin, The Hill House was built in 1901. It was originally built at 115 South School Street, Lodi; across the street from the U.S. Post Office. In 1948, The house was cut into two sections and moved to its present location at 826 South Church Street, Lodi. Thanks for your interest! Nancy Schmer

Actually, We are open Fridays, Saturday and Sundays as a Bed and Breakfast. Sorry our hours make you mad. If you have a special event and wish to stay at the Bed and Breakfast during the week, please call our hostess to see if we can make accommodations for you. Otherwise, the home is open for viewing Sunday between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Thank you for your interest in the beautiful historic Lodi Hill House Bed and Breakfast!
