Met a date in the outdoor area on Father’s Day. Although there was limited wait staff, the waiter outside said he would come to take our order. After about 20 minutes of him passing by taking everybody else’s drinks and serving them food, I went inside the restaurant and spoke with him directly. I told him we had been waiting for an extended period of time, and that he had never shown up as promised. He said someone would be out to take our order. After another 15 minutes, I went inside and asked to speak with a Manager and that we had been waiting an extended period of time. He explained that they were short of staff. I asked why everyone else including others were getting their orders taken and eating their meals. He stated that I needed to come inside and let them know I was outside. I saw nobody else that had to follow those instructions. At this point several of the people who were patrons approached my table and said I was right to speak up because they were blatantly ignoring us and serving others. Being able to speak Spanish, even the Hispanic patrons were approaching me saying they had witnessed the treatment we had endured. The young black waiter who said he would be out to take my ordered wouldn’t even make eye contact with me, he knew what he had done. Then two more people come out telling me I should have come inside which nobody else I witnessed had done. When the woman who said she was the GM and gave me her card told me when I asked for corporate contact information to express my frustration, she informed me that the person in charge was her husband. I explained to her how I was treated, and how I was embarrassed to the extent that other diners who had witnessed how we were treated, and that a reputable restaurant would comp. the meal based on that alone. She walked away and had someone else bring me the check. Being a professional black man out with a Vietnamese woman and getting treated that way obviously lends to thoughts of discrimination. I paid the check and wrote a note asking them to treat everybody paying the same money the same way. In this case they didn’t, and never have to worry about seeing any of my money ever again! A heck of a way to be treated as a Father on Father’s Day. I had driven all the way from Charlotte for such a terrible and embarrassing experience. I write this in hopes that nobody has to be belittled to this degree at this establishment ever again!

Very nice shopping center with a definite French flair. Lots of shops and restaurants. I really liked Stuff and such, the olive oil shop and the chocolate shop. There is also parking underground which is nice during the summer. This is an open air shopping center. You can enjoy a nice walk around the exterior. The only place in NC you can see an eifel tower.

Adorable little shopping center to walk around! There aren’t many shops to walk through and only one coffee shop and some restaurants. Was expecting more, but worth the stop if you’re nearby!
