Nice beach. Great view of Tahoe and surrounds. Easy short walk to access and not too crowded on beautiful summer day

This was a beautiful place for a breakfast picnic on the beach. Also saw a yogi greeting the day at the end of the dock, walkers heading to Tahoe Forest Park, and kids fishing off the dock. If you are feeling adventurous, search for Gnomeville. No restrooms and limited parking.

Slight haze and smoke smell but no apparent fire
Have to go to camp ground near Coast Guard Station in Lake Forest or one in next Light House Shopping Center in Tahoe City. I do not know if campgrounds are open this time of year.
Beach rules do say that dogs and pets are not allowed on the beach itself, but there were multiple dogs on the beach and in the water throughout the day when we were there. No one seemed to object. They are absolutely allowed up in the park and on the trails and there are plastic bag dispensers for waste pick-up.
I think the closest hotel would be in Tahoe city but there are lots of private homes and condos nearby for rent on a daily basis.
