Super great deli sandwiches!!! I has the Stallion, chicken salad & Reuben. All were great. Great and very interesting store. We went to Waterman’s, Neptunes dive bar, Lisa’s, the Taco truck and Waves market. For what it’s worth Taco truck and Waves market are tied for first on my list.

Visited Waves Market and Deli yesterday. This place is take out only so you will have to eat it someplace else. This is a great little store in the village of Salvo. They have a great hey selection and all of the necessities you could need. The hidden gem is the Deli. The reviews are spot on. The sandwiches and burritos are very good and packed! We got the Wake and Bake, the Breakfast Sandwich and the Chicken Burrito.

Wife and I arrived late on the island and found this market and deli open at 9:30 pm, and didn't expect to be able to order food, but they were still taking orders, and all I can say is WOW!!! There was what seemed like unlimited fresh and hot, hand-cut fries and hot onion rings in our order. We ordered the Nancy Jean and Dino Bravo sandwiches and they were huge, and delicious. The staff was super friendly, and very helpful. The store was neat and they had a gigantic selection of beer and wine, as well as unique gifts. We highly recommend this spot for your late-night cravings.

Let’s start with all the great things. I was impressed with the beer selection at the store, they had everything you could want. Small companies from the states, euro imports and all the normal big brands.. This jar of pickles I bought were some of the best I’ve had. They had solid crunch, a nice spice and hint of sweetness to them. Amazing! The onions rings were great, not too doughy and very thin. The batter had great crunch. They also managed to crack the horseradish code for me. Finally a horseradish sauce that was not overpowering and just subtle. Amazing stuff! The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars was because of the sandwich. The bread was super dry and made the sandwich a little tough to eat, from a chewing standpoint. It was a battle haha. I’d still got back and you should pop in if looking for an overall solid small grocery store in Waves.
