I’m surprised by all the negative reviews. We were seated quickly and within a few minutes we had our drinks. We found the food to be really good. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was great. Our server (man with beard) was awesome. He was friendly, and after being in the sun all day, we appreciated how he kept our glasses full.

Takeout order, yet service (and food) was somehow still terrible. I walked upstairs to get a menu and told them I would be calling to place a to-go order from downstairs. After 5 minutes deciding on what to get, we called. And called. And called. No one ever answered their to-go line, and they were not busy at all. I should have taken that as a sign, but you live and learn. So I walked back upstairs and after waiting a while at the bar in the nearly-empty restaurant, someone finally took my order. We ended up spending $90 for 3 people and we couldn’t eat most of the food due to everything being burnt. Tater tots were dark brown and had no distinguishable potato when broken open, chicken tenders were nearly black and the little meat inside was dry and inedible (see photo), crab cake also burned beyond recognition (however my kid did manage to salvage a couple bites from the very middle). Everything lacked seasoning, even simple salt would have gone a long way. There wasn’t one single item prepared properly despite being a simple order and the restaurant almost entirely empty. NOTE: They REQUIRE 18% AUTOMATIC GRATUITY for TO-GO orders. I had no problem paying this until saw the food and realized I spent over $100 just to have to order from somewhere else (a place up the street and it was amazing) to have any semblance of dinner. I wanted to love this place due to the convenience/location, but unfortunately I cannot recommend it to any of the 8 families I’m on vacation with, or anyone else for that matter. I imagine it’s the view that keeps this place in business because it surely isn’t the service or the food.

My favorite place to catch the sunset in the Rodanthe area. Very chill laid back atmosphere. Great cocktails with lots of other drink choices. Great food and friendly staff. You just cannot beat the views here.

Service is nice. We really like the waiter, and the beautiful ocean view. Foods are not as good as anticipated. Fish taco is fine, but the tuna sandwich is way overcooked. I ordered medium cooked, but it more than well done that it's hard to swallow.
