Starting point for those who want to continue to the Giant Grizzly and the redwoods. There is ample free parking and clean sanitary facilities. From here, a free shuttle goes straight up to the circular route around the Giant Grizzly.

12 a.m to 11:59 p.m and shuttle service may open as early as March 15 and will close on or before November 30 (depending on conditions). They are usually open from sometime in April through early November. March 15 through May 14: 8 am to 5 pm. Buses pick-up about every 15 minutes (last bus leaves Mariposa Grove at 5 pm). May 15 through October 14: 8 am to 8 pm. Buses pick-up about every 10 minutes (last bus leaves Mariposa Grove at 8 pm). October 15 through November 2: 8 am to 6 pm. Buses pick-up about every 10 minutes (last bus leaves Mariposa Grove at 7 pm). November 3 through November 30: 8 am to 5 pm. Buses pick-up about every 15 minutes (last bus leaves Mariposa Grove at 6 pm). December 1 through March 15: No shuttle service available.
Yes, its wheel chair accessible but one might find it difficult to see everything because in some portions there is an incline
