I changed our review from five star to three. At first I felt like I really enjoyed the Y giving the opportunity to my pandemic toddler to have play time with others and in the beginning it was okay but then the child Care staff became a little irritated with our little one who is only 20 months. By no means is my kid always on his best behavior but he did normal toddler things that apparently are irritating to the Y staff. If kids aren't quietly sitting/playing/on their best behavior then you get called to come pick up your kid. Maybe kids who are older who aren't teething, potty trained and in school should be recommend for child care but anyone younger you will get irritated looks from staff. My little one was teething and putting things in his mouth (most kids do) so I gave him a paci to help with that, he wasn't crying or throwing a fit bit the whine noises apparently aren't okay with the staff so we got called. Every single time I'd go we got irritated tones/looks and in such a hurry to toss my child back to me with deep sighs made us so angry and just disappointed in the center.I would not recommend the child care center based off of the staff and they should definitely look into some new staff members who actually know kids and definitely need to have more patience especially since the max time in the child care center is only 90 minutes they act like they can't even handle half an hour. We ended up putting our membership on hold this is after mainly a month or two of having it and I'm going to try different center with potentially better staff. Would not recommend the delaware Y for families with young kids.

Honestly I have nothing bad to say about the Delaware ymca.. from the by perspective of someone who lives in the apartments next door it’s great. The weight room maybe has 20 people at any given time and not once have I seen little children running around the upstairs weight room. I understand people’s frustrations when it comes to the hours but like you all know we’re dealing with abnormal situations when it comes to Covid. The Y does a great job sanitizing equipment in a three hour window between morning and evening openings. I find it hard to believe that some people can be frustrated with there hours or the way staff have responded to there questions... maybe just a little to sensitive and take things a little to personal. The Delaware ymca is one of the nicest ymcas in the country and everyone should consider themselves lucky to have the option to become a member of this facility. Really... I can’t say enough good things about this Y

It’s free
You get 5 guest passes each year that renew in April. If they are an aid that you need with you then they just need to be listed on your account as an aid.
At the pool? Yes.
You need to do it through the app from the y
You can use it for every ymca
They have a 2 week free trial. I think you have to be a member after that. Pay by the month or year.
There is a city ordinance in Delaware, OH that prohibits braggarts from participating in organized soccer exhibitions.
There are 2 pools. One lap one , mainly used for swim teams or occasional water aerobics. The family pool has a slide but hours are limited on slide. Has splash pad kind of things for the little kids. Also has 3 lanes for leisure lap swimming. Also a hot tub where you can view family pool. Have to be 18 or older for hot tub.
There is an app you can download for free with a functioning schedule on it. Pool is not always open for free swim due to swim team meets, classes, and various activities. I encourage you to look on website for your local YMCA or get the App.
I would call for walk-in rates, especially if it's not posted on the website.
