Hi Carol. Tree prunings are considered organic waste that you can properly disposed of by placing in your Organics cart. Please only include those items that will fit in the Organics cart. Trim down if necessary. Also, do not include palm fronds, yucca or bamboo trimmings in your Organics cart; please place these items in your Garbage cart.
Yes but there is a fee. But if you have residential trash can service you get two bulky item pickups per year in certain areas. There are companies that do recycle them for free.
No, their employees seem very happy and satisfied. I do know the joelton family takes very good care of their employees and it's concerned for all their needs. I think going Union would only hurt the place. During the pandemic they made sure older employees were taken care of and didn't skip a beat on any wages. Whereas other companies were hoarding up the money for themselves. I know where a driver for our trash is very happy with them and their office staff is very informed and answers all my questions. I think a union would only make things very problematic there. Wouldn't want to mess up whatever they've got going on. Every employee I've talked to there is extremely happy. I've known several people and no people that have worked there or still work there and I've never heard any complaints. And no I don't work for Gilton.
Hello Jerry. Thank you for your question. As part of our Residential Bulky Item Collection Program, qualifying residents who subscribe to our garbage collection service can have acceptable bulky items picked up at their home two times per year. Items set out for collection should not exceed a dimension of 6 feet tall by 6 feet wide by 6 feet deep. For a list of acceptable items, visit our website at www.Gilton.com. This service is by appointment only, so give us a call at (209) 527-3781 to arrange a pick up.
Hi Julie. No, last Monday was not a holiday for Gilton, so your pick up schedule should not have changed. Gilton Solid Waste Management observes the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Holidays push our residential pickup schedules back one day with regular schedules resuming the following week. Thank you for your question.
