I spoke with a male supervisor at the Port Hudson location about the grass being over grown on the flat grave marker. He just wanted to debate and I just needed him to show a little empathy and care about the grass that was so over grown on Mt parent grave. He and I didn't come to am understanding so he hung up on me. That was so unprofessional and uncaring, You are dealing with emotions and he didn't care. He need to go and get a class on empathy.

The place is beautiful but the attitude of grounds keeper was uncalled for. When a person has problems with wearing a mask for his mother’s funeral, but stays in the back away from everyone for a graveside funeral but the grounds keeper makes him leave his own mothers funeral is so sad, what away to have to grieve your parent, and then she doesn’t have one on our the workers that are only a few feet apart! We were all family there, she could have just stepped away.

They take very good care of the gravesites here and provide the vases and water for us to put fresh flowers on our loved ones graves. You can see the most awesome sight during Memorial Day weekend, USA flags adorn every plot. You can also put USA flags on your loved ones plot. A mapping system is available to help you find your loved one. A lot of history here and beautiful area for quiet meditation.

Yes, 1100. Gates open at 0800
The office is closed but the cemetery is open. I have been there several times on a sunday
Fresh flowers can be placed on gravesites at anytime. Once they become withered and unsightly the staff will remove them. Artificial flowers should only be placed on gravesites during the non-turf growing season. For more detailed information go to Port Hudson National Cemetery website.
The cemetery is open to visitors, but the office is closed. Office hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
Go to the main office and they will guide you through the process. It's located at the Louisiana National Cemetery, one road closer to BATON ROUGE than Port Hudson.
Visit the main office located at the national cemetery, not the military cemetery. People there to give you information on this.
They're actually 2 of them one was full and they started another one
