John Slidell Park is one of Slidell's finest parks. The playground has much to offer for kids from toddler to teen. Also really like the bike and walking trail. Really like that this park is accessible via foot or bicycle from the adjoining neighborhoods. Update: September 2022: the new playground is open and ready for use. Our kids enjoyed it!

Red, good evening. I want to say yes but I did see a few people in the back paved trail with small dogs not on a leash. I just pulled up this information for you from google. Hope this helps👍 "LEASHED dogs are allowed in all parks, with the exception of Heritage Park. They are not allowed on the ball fields or in the playground areas."
No. Free to all
It's open. It was not under construction. The Church of Latter Day Saints we're using it to house their volunteers after the storm and they left their "park closed" signs up. They are however installing the new lights.
It has 4 large softball fields. A multipurpose field. A few sand volleyball courts. I also has a gym and a walking trail.
Nope
Yes, there is an indoor court toward the back of the park.
No
Yes, picnic tables there or bring a blanket & picnic basket. Nothing to by there from shops or anything. Unless they have events but they are usually private like birthdays or get-together reunions
There is a paved trail going from the park to an area close to Rouses on Gause, many people ride their bikes. It's not specifically a bike trail though.
The gym is open in the day time, call the administration dept. They will give you the info...
