The place is closed but online it says open and the main gate is open as well. 2 miles on beat up road took us to nowhere lol.

Do Not Waste your time. This place used to be a fantastic place to go but now they have all entrances barricaded starting at the train tracks so your only option is to walk. Once you get there everything is grown up and rundown terribly. All docks are destroyed, trash everywhere’s, 4ft tall grass, etc.

Questions & Answers

I already went but it's blocked on the way I don't know if you have to walk on foot?

Wetland watchers park was a beautiful place to go. The levee road has not been maintained. Water under the tracks has not been pumped out lately. Grass cutting has been neglected. What is being done with all the funding to maintain these things?

The man who runs Wetland Watchers is very ill. He is probably a big part of keeping this area maintained...

Is the park accessible by car. I know the railroad has been working on the tracks. Is it possible to drive under newly installed track, to access fishing piers

Yes and no, it depends on if we had a lot of rain you can drive under. I was there 5/16/21 and it's still flooded some and blocked off. They are doing work around the park area and the nature trail is completely destroyed by flooding.

Is this park accessible due to the train bridge construction?

Blake Hosli | Oct 3, 2021
Anthony Jensen | Oct 3, 2021

Yes but the park has obvious storm damage and debris. The boardwalk is broken and impassable.

Do you know if it's blocked on Lower Levee Guide rd? We tried to go down there in May & had to turn around bc it was blocked at that point.
