I’ve been a patient here for nearly 15 years. Dr. Martinez and Dr Steve are wonderful, soft spoken, and caring individuals. A few years back the receptionist could seem a little abrupt or uncaring, but she is no longer there and I appreciate everyone on the staff.

My mother missed an appointment as she was in the hospital when she got home the receptionist called her to specifically yell at her and tell her she could not come in to see dr martinez any longer. . I called a couple weeks later to explain what happened and the office staff was both rude and nasty. A Dr. that employs such tactics and allows his staff to treat patients that way is not a good Dr. e is hiding his true self behind his staff . A true red flag . There are other Dr.'s in this field that wont treat you so poorly .

Dr Martinez is a great. professional and kind man, I trust him. However, I recognize the back of staff due to lack of eye contact and minimal interaction more than the front. Follow up falls entirely on me. Entirely. No status phone calls, no inquiries as to why I have not gotten special blood work (lab only does test out-of-state and call to them was unreturned). Getting tested is easy but definitive answers are not. Be your own advocate when it comes to follow-up.

Does he treat polymyalgia rheumatica? How long before he can see you if you are a new patient? Is he off on Fridays, I called numerous times and no answer

Dr. Martinez is wonderful! He treats all immune/rheumatological conditions and IS accepting new patients. Your PCP will have to fax your pertinent information and Dr. Martinez's office will call you with an appointment. There is a 1-2 month wait, ask to be put on the no show/cancel list, to get in sooner. Dr. Martinez has 1 P.A. in his office whom is as kind, caring and wonderful as he is! Both of them believe your time is as valuable as theirs is, as does the office staff. This keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently. However you never feel rushed, they always take their time to address your (and their) concerns, ordering and reviewing labs, meds, diagnosis, treatment, ECT. We drive well over an hour one way to see them and it is worth every uncomfortable minute. I only wish more doctors were like them. The doctors and the entire staff make the whole visit enjoyable educational and worthwhile. We truly appreciate their time, patience and dedication!
