How old is your Nintendo Switch and did you buy their protection plan? If you have a valid protection plan then GameStop will replace it BUT there has been a shortage for a while now which has driven up the cost of available stock. It may be cheaper to see if it can be repaired.

I believe so. If you go to the GameStop website, you can see the trade in value of a game. And I recommend getting store credit. You get more that way!
