Great shape and challenging course. I do not like the pricing arrangement, but other than that, I will play here again.

Excellent shape and pick your challenge from 8 sets of tee boxes on all 18 holes.

A very interesting layout, well maintained with 2 exceptions. The traps, which come into play frequently on this course are ridiculous. Wet, completely unkept, virtually impossible to play from (at least green side). So their raking machine broke down, which means it was worse than usual today. But it's never good. At best there's a layer of hard pan one half inch below the sand level. I played a course in Rochester and it has nice fluffy sand that I could actually hit blast shots out. Also you might find one or two ball washers per nine. Don't miss them or else you'll have to dig lots more clean balls out of your bag.

fun course, great condition. carts can be a little tricky and should definitely be switched to electric from gas. but staff was friendly and the grass was green!

I agree on the water comment wholeheartedly and this is where it stands: Since taking over in February we have been working with the appropriate authority to install drinking fountains on both nines - it has been a truly frustrating process and hope to have later this season. There have been significant health issues with the use of 5 gallon jugs across the country and we have been advised against utilizing. The starters script encourages each group to hydrate by utilizing the water fountain at Golf Shop, the Halfway house beverage service, and the Oak Room. Unfortunately for us and customers like you the beverage cart was severely damaged in a spring outing is being rebuilt and repaired. We hope to see you back and experience our improvements!
John, Yes - we have a grass tee facing south in addition to a newly installed 4'x160' "Custom Turf" mat to practice from. 4 x 2000 sq.ft. targets will be built this fall as well as a US Kids approved colored target posts.
Peter, We are a few months into new ownership. Our long term plan is to host more prestigious events on the Regional/State/National Qualifying levels. The course quality needs to be improved to be considered. In addition, materials such as you mentioned will be nice offerings to participants eventually.
Yes you can
Thanks for your note and apologize for your unfortunate experience. With the removal of specific ill-planted and dying trees, lowering of the primary rough, softening the daily flag positions, going from 8 minute to 9 minute spacing of tee-times, and other measures we have successfully reduced the average playing times significantly in the short term this season. That said the uncommon or rare occurrence of rogue, unapproved, or unpaid players jumping ahead of groups is unacceptable... we are working on simple procedures to clean up. Unfortunately the playing completion time of any course is determined by the slowest group or player ahead of you and we work with our starters and player assistance ranger staff to keep groups in pace.
