Hi Leslie, thank you for the question! Yes, we are happy to let you know we accept Delta Dental and are in-network providers.
We do not currently have an in-office discount plan, but we may in the future.
Absolutely! We feel strongly that finances should never prevent folks from getting the dental care that they need and deserve. That’s why we accept Care Credit and financing through Proceed Finance, and we’re also happy to create customized payment plans that work well for your personal monthly budgets.
We typically treat patients Monday through Thursday and reserve Fridays for longer procedures by appointment only. We do not treat patients on weekends.
We do! We never want a patient to be in pain or walking around with a broken tooth, so we will always do our best to fit you in on the same day that you call us with your emergency.
We will perform a gum exam and oral cancer screening, look at each individual tooth, and create a customized treatment plan that works for you. Most of the time, we will clean your teeth at this same visit, but if you have advanced periodontal disease or another issue that needs to be resolved, we may have you return for additional visits.
You can typically expect a new patient examination appointment to be between 60 and 80 minutes long. We want to provide you personalized care and give you the time you deserve.
As a general dental practice, we don’t have any specific specialty, but Dr. Cornetta feels quite competent in all aspects of dentistry, and we consider ourselves a “full service” practice, where we can do anything from cleanings and fillings to root canals and implants, all in the comfortable environment you’re used to.
Teeth can be sensitive for several reasons. Most typically, tooth sensitivity is due to recession and root exposure. This can be generally easy to treat, but we’d need to examine your teeth first, so if your teeth are sensitive then, please give us a call!
Physically looking inside the mouth only lets us see part of the picture. In order for us to truly complete our exam, we need to consult with X-rays, which allow us to see in between the teeth for any cavities and below the gums’ surface. Our digital x-rays are quick and painless and emit a fraction of the amount of radiation that traditional film X-rays do.
Everyone is different, and some folks require more frequent checkups than others, but generally speaking, we recommend most patients with healthy mouths come to our Assonet office twice a year. If you have dental issues or concerns, then we often recommend more frequent visits.
At Woodside Dental Care, we can make you custom whitening trays specifically designed for your mouth in order to achieve maximum efficacy. All it takes is a quick and simple visit for impressions and then you can be on your way to a whiter, brighter smile!
Absolutely! There are 3 ways you can replace a missing tooth: an implant, a bridge, and a partial denture. An implant is basically a “bionic tooth” that uses a titanium root replacement that goes into the bone, and we cover it with a crown. A step down from that would be placing a bridge, which includes trimming back the teeth that surround the space and “bridging” the gap with a fake tooth. Unfortunately, with a bridge, we have to reduce two healthy teeth, and the cost is not much less than an implant but a bridge has a greatly diminished long-term prognosis. The final option is a removable partial denture, which most folks don’t love because they have to put in and take it out daily.
Dr. Cornetta has been practicing dentistry for 5 years, but the practice has been a staple of Assonet since 1980.
We accept all insurances and work hard to verify and maximize benefits for each patient. We are in-network with Delta, BlueCross BlueShield, Metlife, and Altus, although we have lots of patients that choose to come to us with many other dental insurances.
We are conveniently located just east of Route 24 by taking the exit for S Main Street/79. Nearby you’ll find St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and beautifully wooded spaces.
