Wow beds are expensive these days but a good nights sleep is invaluable. I went with the sleep number bed because of the adjustments that can be individually made for my comfort. Mary at the Chico store was extremely helpful and she had a great attitude.

Yes. They have many options from standard non-moveable base to dual head and foot lifting motorized models. We purchased the mattress only for our motorhome.
As far as I know. The frame has to be ajustable to be able to raise the head.
