Room was filthy. Sheets on bed had personal lubricant stains all over them. Towels looked like dirty towels that were folded and hung back up. Tile floor looked like it had been wiped with something oily and was very slippery. Some sort of dried liquid was on the back of the bathroom door. The tub was filthy, and toilet had mildew growing where the water line meets the bowl. Found a bug, possibly an invasive silverfish on a picture hung above the toilet. Went down to the desk to ask for new sheets. Was handed a balled up set of sheets that looked like they came out of a dirty laundry basket. Took them to the room. They were dingier than the sheets already on the bed. After my wife talked me down, she went down to the desk and asked for another set of sheets. She too was given a balled up set of sheets that when she returned and began to make the bed, realized were to small. Called Choice Hotels and spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to resolve the situation. Finally packed our car back up, turned in the keys and requested a refund. The manager, Mr. Dwa, called me this morning and informed me that they would not give me a refund because, while going through all of this, I was in the room for 3hrs, and accused me of trying to scam a stay off of them, and then he hung up on me. After being on the road for over 14hrs, I guess he felt that I could and would scam 3 hrs of sleep and could get back on the road safely. I am offended by his audacity and braveness at the other end of a phone line. This is by far the filthiest Comfort Inn in which we have ever stayed, and this WAS previously our choice of hotel whenever we travel. We actually spent the two nights prior at Comfort Inns in different states. This manager has failed to make sure that Comfort Inns standards are upheld under his watch. So if you chose to stay there, set your expectations very low. Like hourly rental motel low.

My husband and I have stayed at this Comfort Inn many times on our travels to Blairsville and it has always been fine-it's old and smelly, but always clean and friendly. This last time we were there, we arrived later in the evening after driving all day, wiped down the room, just in case and went to use the restroom and the toilet wouldn't flush. My husband went to the front desk to see about another room. When he came back, he was holding a plunger wrapped in a shopping bag. The front desk said "see if you can fix it first". I could not believe my eyes. That was disgusting!!!! Who knows how many plugged up toilets it has been used on-GROSS! We couldn't fix it so she begrudgingly gave us another room-but no apology.....at all! I still can't believe it. WE WON'T BE BACK!

Room clean except my husband found dirty spot on floor next to back of toilet ..(odor of stool) I had bleach wipes and cleaned it myself and spoke with front desk..was asked if wanted to change room but since I sanitized the bathroom and room myself, we stayed. The breakfast was really good. Had to ask for towels, toilet paper. The sanitizer hand dispenser outside the elevator on both floors were never filled.. Very friendly staff.

Staff was nice enough and room felt clean although very dark due to bad lighting. You could turn every switch on and still have to squint. The most SORRY excuse for breakfast. No eggs......or sausage or anything like that. Danimals yogurt only. Fruit that only had one day of life left and stale cereal. But stay was convenient to the town. OH AND VERY EXPENSIVE
