Went for the kids fish free event. Didn't know this was here before that. Nice little lake. Great park!

Nice little body of water. Perfect for some kayaking. There's a great amount of flora and fauna: tadpoles, painted turtles, dragonflies, birds, little fish and even a fairly large snapper who lives on the right bay in the cattails. Nicely groomed paths to the right of the lake meander into a more marshy area with a few fun little foot bridges. Tends to be a bit quieter earlier in the weekday but a bit busier on the weekends.

Lots of goose poo, slime and once actually get past that the water is extremely fishy smelling goes kinda clear to green like color in lake... But I will say hiking around the little trails was awesome needs weed pulling but cute lil adventure with fun animals to see Along the creek.

Beautiful place to explore. Loved the root and rock studded trails around the lake and contrasting clearer paths in the woods and prairie. Enjoyed watching the small bluegill swimming in the near shore waters of the lake.
