It's a canoe launch, and also at low flow rates there is a huge beach.

Favorite place to sit by the river. Good place to launch. Be prepared to carry all of your gear to the water.

There are not picnic tables to my knowledge but there is a nice grassy plain you coul put a blanket down on. Not a great view of the water though.
There are no signs prohibiting overnight parking. So yes, you should be able to park overnight
