Their beer is pretty good. Not a ton of depth, but good enough flavor. The Business As Usual IPA is the best, and the Ukrainian stout was well done. Their flight service was not good. Quite awful actually. See photo. Six samples on a piece of paper that was soaked with beer, and couldn’t even pull the sheet towards us because it kept ripping due to the soaked paper. Really?? At least the bartender could have put it in front of us and not an arm’s reach away. Advice to the brewery owners - Get a cool wood carved troll head like your logo and serve your flight in that. Do something in line with the troll theme, it’s a no-brainer. I’ve been to 200+ breweries, and this is dead last in terms of the way the flight was served, which is saying something considering the number of bad breweries out there. Embarrassing aspect of Grumpy Troll’s otherwise nice experience.

I dropped by here with the ladies in my water aerobics class and it's the first time I've ever been to Mt Horeb! I ordered the cordon bleu with broccoli and a raspberry tea, which was all very delicious and filling. We also got the grumpy chips as an appetizer; the seasoning and dip is wonderful! They were very busy when we got there around noon and almost every table had a reserved sign on it, but they were able to seat us immediately and we even got a nice corner table next to the window. It was very loud so it was hard to hear each other at times, and it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food, but the wait was definitely worth it!

Belied up to the bar there after a long day of hiking blue mounds and Governor Dodge. The burger and fries I ordered were much more delicious than the photo implies - fries were perfectly cooked and the burger had a nice smoky finish. Beer choices provided nice balanced options no matter the entree. It was pretty busy on a Saturday, but they had no trouble pumping out the orders. Everything was speedy and the service was friendly.

We stopped here after visiting Cave of the mounds. And were glad we did. Everything was great. We had artichoke dip, flannel hash, and beer cheese soup. We also enjoyed a flight of the different brews. We were satisfied with everything and plan on going back for another visit.

I don't remember, I'm sure you can call. I believe my daughter used a booster seat. The giant pretzel is great, but is definitely meant to be shared.
